Associate Criminal Defence Lawyer

Criminal defence law firm, Vilkhov Law P.C. is looking to hire one associate lawyer. We are a fast-paced, hardworking, exciting, and collegial firm. Our client base is large and expanding, and we represent cases all over Ontario. Candidates must be passionate about criminal law, enthusiastic, and hard-working. Our caseload includes all types of criminal charges, from theft to first degree murder. Candidates must have a car and be willing to travel to various courthouses and jails across southwestern Ontario – this is mandatory.Candidates must also be located in the Greater Toronto Area or be prepared to relocate. Ideal candidates will have minimum one year experience in criminal law and trial experience. Please forward a resume, cover letter, transcripts, and a writing sample. `Requirements`
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in Ontario
- Strong knowledge of criminal law legal principles, procedures, and practices
- Excellent research skills using various legal databases such as Lexis-Nexis or Westlaw
- Proficient in legal drafting and writing
- Ability to negotiate effectively on behalf of clients
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay: $70,000.00-$150,000.00 per year

• On call
