Preferred Qualifications:

Position Description
Position Summary
The Associate Executive Director supports all branch operations and programs of the Bayview Hunters Point YMCA’s portfolio including but not limited to youth development, community programs, family support services, health and wellness, workforce development, alternative education, camps, facility management, risk and other community initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Executive Director, this role collaborates with program directors, staff, volunteers, and stakeholders to ensure programs are safe, impactful, and aligned with strategic goals. Some responsibilities include staff development, fiscal management, program design and development, and community engagement to improve the branch’s overall operating performance, fidelity, and community impact.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evaluate programs across youth development, social services, community initiatives, workforce development, health and wellness, and alternative education to meet community needs and achieve strategic goals.
- Collaborate with program directors to enhance program quality, safety, and accessibility.
- Supervise and mentor program directors, staff, and volunteers, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
- Oversee branch financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense management, ensuring fiscal accountability and alignment with strategic goals.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for program impact, financial health, and operational efficiency, adjusting plans to meet targets.
- Manage branch facilities, ensuring safety, maintenance, and compliance with regulatory and YMCA standards.
- Cultivate and maintain partnerships with local organizations, schools, government agencies, and businesses to enhance the branch’s community impact.
- Represent the YMCA at community meetings, events, and forums, advocating for its mission and programs.
- Partner with the Senior Executive Director to execute strategic initiatives and branch priorities.
- Lead change management efforts to improve organizational processes, program delivery, and operational practices.
- Develop and execute fundraising strategies, including grant writing, donor cultivation, and sponsorships.
- Ensure adherence to YMCA safety standards, risk management policies, and all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Lead emergency preparedness efforts, ensuring staff training and readiness.
- Actively participate in association-level initiatives, task forces, and working groups to align efforts and share best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the success and sustainability of the branch.
Salary Description
This is a full time exempt position. The salary range is $108,000-$116,646. This rate is based on salary benchmarking and aligns with grant fund allocations for the role. Final compensation will be determined by the candidate's qualifications and experience, in accordance with grant funding requirements and organizational guidelines.
