About the opportunity
The Associate Lecturer / Lecturer in Speech Pathology will deliver innovative, learner-centered education and contribute to the Faculty of Health's research and engagement initiatives. This role is pivotal in advancing the Bachelor of Speech Pathology curriculum to align with professional standards and the Faculty’s philosophy.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver high-quality teaching in both clinical and theoretical topics, using contemporary educational technologies.
- Develop and implement innovative curricula and teaching resources that enhance student learning outcomes.
- Contribute to the Faculty’s research profile through publications, grants, and scholarly activities.
- Collaborate with interprofessional teams, industry partners, and the professional community to foster engagement and innovation.
- Support the development of students through supervision and mentoring opportunities.
About you
You will be an experienced and motivated academic or clinician passionate about teaching and advancing speech pathology education. Your ability to deliver engaging learning experiences and contribute to research and collaboration will make you a valuable member of the Faculty. To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A PhD or demonstrated significant progress towards completion of a PhD in a relevant field, and subsequent academic and/or clinical experience. Registration as a Speech Pathologist with Speech Pathology Australia.
- Proven experience in teaching clinical and theoretical topics, including the use of educational technologies in blended and online settings.
- A track record of curriculum design, implementation, and evaluation that enhances student learning outcomes.
- Evidence of research and scholarly activities, including publications and grant success, as relative to level.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate with teams, partners, and a diverse range of stakeholders.
Applicants with experience working with adult clients and a willingness to relocate to our Coffs Harbour campus (with generous relocation support provided) will be highly regarded.
Salary and benefits

- Part-time (50%), continuing (permanent)
- Located at either Coffs Harbour, NSW 2450 or Gold Coast, QLD 4225. Generous relocation support available.

The level of appointment will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience.
- The base salary for a full-time Academic Level A ranges from $78,287 - $105,224 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $123,112.
- The base salary for a full-time Academic Level B ranges from $110,611 - $130,814 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $153,052.
