What you will do

The Associate Project Manager, Medical Affairs provides project management and operational business support to the North America Medical Affairs function, North America Public Health (NAPH), and global Medical, Clinical, and Safety Sciences (MCSS) organizations. This position will require diligent time management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure critical project deliverables and business objectives are consistently met. These include but are not limited to Labeling Committee forums and follow up activities, product development timelines, advisory boards, budget tracking/reporting, digital outreach initiatives, lifecycle management of projects in the MCSS and NAPH organizations, and contract management. The Associate Project Manager, Medical Affairs must have the technical background to understand complex technical conversations while also demonstrating superior leadership capabilities to lead and positively influence project teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and facilitate the Global Labeling Committee, working with stakeholders to present requests and updates. Ensure follow ups are properly documented and completed in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Lead executional elements of projects in a global, cross‐functional role. Applicant must be able
  • to adapt to leading projects that have a broad scope (Quality, Claims, or Regulatory focused
  • initiatives).
  • Work with the Medical, Clinical, and Safety Sciences cross-functional team to accomplish the organization’s digital priorities in clinical research and/or medical sciences.
  • Be an active member of the North America Public Health (NAPH) team by leading and supporting initiatives to better inform and benefit consumers.
  • Assist Medical Affairs leadership in yearly strategic planning activities and provide input
  • throughout the year.
  • Develop and manage systems to support the compliance of the organization with Operational,
  • Regulatory, Health Care Compliance, and Fiscal requirements. Examples‐ Financial Compliance,
  • Investigation and CAPA management, and Health Care Professional Interactions.
  • Provide budget management support for Medical Affairs and North America Public Health (NAPH) organizations.
  • Provide vendor management support for Medical Affairs, Epidemiology, and Clinical Sciences teams. Serve as contracting and purchasing liaison.
  • Manage the execution of all elements of delivering enterprise-wide projects. Track deliverables,
  • and deliver transparent, effective verbal and written communication to teams, stakeholders at
  • appropriate levels of the organization. Examples‐ Global Repository Management, Phase IV
  • study coordination.
  • Support innovation across the portfolio for North America Medical Affairs and related functions.
  • Be an active member of the North America Medical Affairs team, supporting key risk
  • management projects, departmental process improvements, and other initiatives.

Qualifications


What we are looking for

Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years’ relevant professional experience is required.
  • A minimum 2 years’ Project Management experience in OTC, consumer products, medical devices, and/or pharmaceutical industries is highly preferred
  • Experience working with Excel preferred
  • Project Management, Data Analytics, Committee Leadership
  • Background in finance desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and live into new ways of working to deliver on projects required.
  • Ability to lead and work with cross-functional teams.
  • Be solution-oriented and live into new ways of working to deliver on projects.
  • Utilize strategic thinking, focusing on the big picture, both internally and externally, on Consumer and other related trends.
  • Lead teams in use of ongoing risk management & communication tools.
  • Deliver transparent, timely, and effective verbal and written communication to teams, stakeholders, and appropriate levels of the organization.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain up-to-date project timelines inclusive of all critical milestones, key interdependencies, and resource constraints, applying appropriate project scheduling techniques.
  • Proactively identify and escalate risks and issues to relevant stakeholders, with direction and guidance, lead development and delivery of tactical and achievable mitigation and contingency planning.
  • Monitor project status and execution, offer viable solutions and opportunities as they arise, and identifies and resolves issues and risks.
  • Drive accountability for deliverables and ensure projects meet milestones.
