Automotive Service Porter

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Service Porter to join our team at a busy automotive shop. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while assisting with various tasks that ensure the smooth operation of our service department. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Receive vehicles, enter key vehicle information like VIN number, Mileage, Color...etc. Photograph the vehicle and Tag it appropriately.
• Drive vehicles, including manual transmission, to and from service areas as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, including washing and detailing vehicles.
• Assist technicians by delivering parts and supplies as required.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding service updates and vehicle status.
• Support the shop's operations by performing additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a dealership or automotive environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Ability to drive various types of vehicles, including those with manual transmission.
• A valid driver's license is required. A clean driving record is preferred.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
