About the role

B & M Productions Limited is looking for two Bakery Assistants to join our bakery team in Christchurch. This is a full-time role for candidates who are reliable, hardworking, and able to work in a fast-paced food production environment.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day bakery production
• Prepare ingredients and baking trays for production
• Support bakers with mixing, shaping, baking, cooling, and finishing bakery products
• Pack, label, and display bakery items properly
• Maintain cleanliness of the bakery, equipment, and work areas
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures at all times
• Check stock levels and assist with storing ingredients and supplies
• Help with receiving deliveries and rotating stock
• Assist in maintaining product quality and presentation standards
• Carry out other bakery support duties as reasonably required

Requirements

• Previous experience preferred.
• Applicants must also be physically fit, able to stand for long hours, able to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays if required, and have a positive attitude with good teamwork skills.
