Bakery Associate

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the daily operations of our bakery, ensuring that our products are prepared, presented, and served to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and customer service, along with a strong commitment to food safety and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of baked goods, including pies and cakes, and decorating (piping) desserts following established recipes and procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area, ensuring all surfaces and equipment are sanitized regularly.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering any questions regarding products.
• Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, assisting with restocking as necessary.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation during peak hours.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
