Position Title: Bartender

Reports to: Banquet Supervisor(s), Banquet Manager

SUMMARY

Responsible for providing service to guests at the bar as assigned in a friendly, courteous, accurate and efficient manner. A bartender is responsible for making beverages, set up, clean up and maintenance of the bar area, handling cash and overall ensuring that guest service expectations are exceeded.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Ensures guests enjoy their food and beverage experience.
• Conducts oneself in a positive and professional manner at all times through both conduct and appearance.
• Promotes teamwork and co-operation at all times with all other employees.
• Assists other serving employees by making beverages as they are ordered, ensuring consistency and accurate inventory control.
• Responsible for service of alcohol standards as outlined by the LGCA, at all times, keeping safety of your co-workers and guests in mind.
• Utilizes up-selling and suggestive selling techniques to optimize profits for WOW Catering.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of all bar equipment, including all areas of the bar, fridges, ice wells and liquor storage areas.
• Fridge restock and product rotation after each event.
• Determining when to stop serving alcohol to patrons who have had enough/too much to drink.
• Responsible for filling in liquor count sheets properly and accurately, cash out management

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $16.00-$17.00 per hour

Experience:

• Bartending: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Smart Serve (preferred)
