About the role

As a Bartender in The Local Taphouse you will be responsible for interacting with customers, taking food and beverage orders, preparing and presenting drinks and accepting payments. You'll also help to keep the bar looking spic and span and assist with re-stocking.

You will also;

• Participate in bar and beverage promotions
• Promote responsible alcohol consumption by guests in accordance with company host responsibility programme and training

When required to act as Duty Manager, you will be remunerated at a higher hourly rate to will lead the team during your shift, providing hands-on operational support to ensure delivery of consistently high-quality customer service.

You will also;

• Ensure excellent bar presentation and set up including ensuring sufficient stock levels
• Participate in bar and beverage promotions
• Assist in monitoring and maintaining the quality of the bar products
• Understand and promote responsible alcohol consumption by guests in accordance with company host responsibility programme and training

This is a Part Time opportunity, approximately 15 - 20 hours per week which will include evenings and weekends.

About you

It'll be your winning attitude, excellent customer service skills, and passion for fabulous food and drinks which will make you a great fit for SkyCity & The Local Taphouse.

To be successful in this role, you will also;

• Hold your LCQ
• Supervisory experience in a restaurant/ bar / functions' operation
• Knowledge of requirements as a duty manager of licensed premises (Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012)
• Understanding of Health, safety and hygiene requirements for food and beverage operations
