JOB SUMMARY

The BCP/DR Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery strategies, plans, and procedures. This role ensures that the organization is well-prepared to respond to disruptions, minimize downtime, and maintain critical operations in the event of natural disasters, cyber incidents, system failures, or other emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCP/DR) plans, frameworks, and policies across the organization.
• Conduct risk assessments, business impact analyses (BIA), and identify critical business functions and dependencies.
• Coordinate and lead disaster recovery testing, including tabletop exercises, failover drills, and recovery simulations.
• Ensure alignment of BCP/DR strategies with regulatory, industry, and corporate compliance requirements.
• Partner with IT, Security, Facilities, and other business units to ensure resilience of systems, networks, and processes.
• Monitor emerging threats and industry trends, recommending enhancements to improve resiliency and recovery capabilities.
• Provide training and awareness programs to employees to build a culture of preparedness.
• Document findings, create reports, and present recommendations to senior management.
• Act as the point of contact during actual incidents, supporting crisis management and recovery coordination.
