As part of the Battlespace Communications System Team, you will help build, lead and support teams that design and produce next generation Military Communications Systems and contribute to the continued evolution of those capabilities to the Australian Defence Forces. The Opportunity
We are seeking a talented engineering manager to work in a dynamic organisation; leading one of the Field Hardware and Assembly engineering teams focused on BCS program delivery across a portfolio of deployable network and communication projects.
BCS is a next generation networking product that is the centerpiece for multiple projects and campaigns. The BCS combines both developmental and off the shelf hardware and software to provide world leading communications capability for ADF personnel. It can be rapidly deployed from anywhere, and its modular design provides a flexible, scalable solution that can be customized for various mission needs.

Responsibilities
- Leading a multi-disciplinary engineering team within the BCS enterprise organisation.
- Delivering capability outcomes for BCS customers.
- Planning and estimation of technical work scope and development of team project plans
- Execution of project plans in accordance within defined schedule and cost parameters.
- Effective stakeholder engagement within Boeing, suppliers and customers.
- Staff management including recruitment, development and performance.
- Fostering and developing inclusive, diverse and high performing teams.
Essential:
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline, Information Technology related fields or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience in complex engineering development programs.
- Passion and experience in fostering positive team culture.
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.
Desirable:
- Demonstrable track record of leading diverse teams to achieve program outcomes.
- Hardware development and CoTs/MoTs integration experience highly regarded.
- Proven track record of overseeing product development throughout the entire engineering lifecycle.
- Formal Project management, Agile, Engineering or Management qualifications are desirable, however all relevant prior experience will be considered.
