The opportunity

Due to an exciting pipeline, we are seeking a motivated and driven Building Services Engineer who has at least three years' experience in a similar position with a main contractor, and the experience and skills to deliver a professional standard of customer service and maintain a positive a cooperative attitude towards clients.

For this role, you will require a strong mechanical/hydraulic and or electrical background and excellent communication skills to liaise with trades and sub-contractors. You will have an excellent knowledge of the core service disciplines and associated New Zealand Building Code Standards.

You will provide the day-to-day technical support, coordinating with the project teams, consultants, clients and subcontractors as well as supervision of building services trade installations (including mechanical, electrical, fire, hydraulic, drainage and specialist services) ensuring an exceptional quality of service is provided. You will be able to provide efficient and reliable services management support to the project manager to deliver complex commercial projects.

Ensuring that projects are delivered safely and successfully by developing a team oriented and collaborative work environment, you will have a disciplined and self-motivated work ethic, able to plan and can work as part of a team to ensure Best Practice principles are achieved, excellent communication and organisation skills, a commitment to zero harm.

Above all, you will be passionate about delivering innovative solutions to our clients and have the aptitude to work as part of a team and nurture relationships with all stakeholders.

It would be expected that you take ownership of outcomes for assigned projects, ensuring that the projects are delivered safely and successfully by developing a team oriented and collaborative work environment with a quality and cost-effective service being delivered to our clients.
