Business Analyst Intern

Job Type: Full Time (Non-Exempt)

Location: Novi, MI

Reports to: Financial Analyst

Brooks Utility Products is seeking a business analyst intern to support the finance team. In this position, you will assist with data cleansing and managing master data files. You will also assist the finance team in creating dashboards and tools to track KPI’s. Other duties will include costing and other ad hoc requests.

Internship candidates can expect a full-time onsite position for the 2023 summer, with the opportunity to continue on a part-time remote basis during the school year.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Run daily reports for finance team

· Develop dashboards and reports to track KPIs and other financial metrics

· Work with Finance and other team members to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to track

· Support special projects and ad hoc requests as required

· Assist in data cleansing to support ongoing data management

· Review production data entered into ERP system

· Analyze inventory and recommend reserves (shrink, obsolescence)

· Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs

· Perform takt time studies as needed

Qualification and Competencies:

· Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance or related business degree

· Troubleshooting/problem solving/critical thinking skills

· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required

· Power BI or Tableau experience a plus

· Highly organized, detail-oriented, accurate and timel

Job Types: Full-time, Internship

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
