G4S Secure Solutions Ireland are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity to join our sales team as a business development manager. This role will be based out of G4S head office with field based travel. The role holder reports to the Head of Sales to join our business development team across Ireland. Position Overview:

The Business Development Manager will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with prospective clients and driving growth. The role holder will hold shared responsibility for developing and executing strategies to increase the company’s market share, while collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions to meet client needs. The role holder will be a strategic thinker with a passion for driving business growth.

The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Source new leads and follow-up on leads generation to grow and expand company revenues
  • Management of tender process as required
  • Manage potential client engagement/relationship in order to maximize the conversion rate of proposals / tenders to actual sales
  • Lead on customer debriefs for all unsuccessful quotes / tenders to build understanding of deficiency, capture learning in other presentations and position G4S to re-tender at the next opportunity
  • Monitor the security market segment to identify, evaluate and develop plans to capture opportunities to expand the Company’s portfolio of products and services in that segment
  • Build relations with key sector players to influence and guide the development of the Security market in general in a manner that maximizes G4S competitive position
  • Support operations in development of products and services and training of personnel to ensure the capability to deliver to the highest standards in the Security sector
  • You will develop relationships and look for opportunities to develop other areas of current client business

The ideal candidates will ideally demonstrate the following skills, knowledge and experience:

  • 5 years relevant fire experience for the role - qualified/experienced fire engineer
  • Proven capability of costing and designing systems
  • Strong communication and presentational skills; capable of communicating 'technical' concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Target driven with a proven track record of hitting and exceeding targets or deadlines
  • Disciplined and structured in approach to work

  • Ability to be adaptable and flexible across different client sites to meet different needs and criteria
  • Full clean driving license is a mandatory requirement
