Business Development Executive

The Kilkenny Observer newspaper is recruiting for an exciting opportunity in their sales department. This role is split between field-based sales/phone sales. This is a perfect position for someone to showcase their abilities and to network within the media industry.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the team and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve business objectives, including revenue targets.
• Deal with initial sales queries - phone, email, or walk in.
• Maintain an organised CRM system to maintain client information.
• Identify sales opportunities and promote all products.
• Maximise revenue from new/existing customers.
• Development new leads weekly and maintain existing relationships.

Role Qualifications & Skills

• 3-5 years in a sales role. (media experience is advantageous)
• Comfortable working in a target driven environment.
• Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
• Capable of working as part of a team for The Kilkenny Observers goals & vision.
• Utilise online social media to obtain leads and networking e.g LinkedIn.
• Fluent English is essential.
• Adhere to professional dress code.
• Full clean Irish drivers license.
