Job Description

We’re looking for a special kind of high-performing event and relationship building superstar to join our dynamic, hardworking team, to help secure valuable business events (meetings, conferences and functions) for our H3 Group suite of reputable venues here in Hamilton city.
In this exciting, fast-paced and varied role you will work closely with your passionate business development team members to showcase our venues, and establish, develop and nurture strong relationships with our repeat, new and perspective highly valued business events.
Each and every day really is different, you will be involved with supporting and leading on-site tours, tradeshows, familiarisation experiences, hostings, responding to large volumes of new enquiries, creating proposals, contracting new business, working closely alongside our event delivery teams and business partners, plus a range of supporting activities offsite to network and proudly represent H3, whilst building your own industry connections and strong diverse client portfolio.
Qualifications

- A strong, successful background in events, and/or sales, account and relationship management.
- Experience creating business leads and building important relationships and connections to secure new business, while nurturing, growing and retaining existing business clients.
- Ability to represent H3 in a professional capacity with client hostings, networking, familiarisation experiences, site tours and client meetings.
- Strong communication skills, a positive, determined, and proactive attitude
- Great energy, with a warm, welcoming personality.
- Precise attention to detail, dedicated and diligent work ethic.
- Exceptional customer service experience.
- A genuine passion and pride for the events industry, our city and region.
- Demonstrated experience with Momentus, or at least two years’ experience working with an integrated event booking system.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in events or related qualification and/or at least 2 years demonstrated success in event sales and/or business events industry.

Circa $69,000 - $79,000 dependent on skills and experience.
