About the Opportunity
Stratus Building Solutions of Vancouver Island is searching for an ambitious salesperson to join team Stratus as a Business Development Executive for the newly opened regional office in Victoria BC, aiming to secure contracts for our franchisees. With extensive training, strong corporate support, and lead-generation assistance, you will develop the skills to sell with confidence. Your Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Acquisition and Planning: Identify and pursue new customers by using the proven Stratus system but create your own plan that works for you!
- Market Research: Conduct market analysis to identify trends, market pricing, and new opportunities within the commercial cleaning industry in your territory.
- Prospecting: Leveraging CRM and sales tools such as ZoomInfo, GMB, Salesgenie, HubSpot, LinkedIn Navigator to network with potential customers.
- Cold Calling and Qualifying leads: Conduct telemarketing efforts to actively reach out to potential businesses from our office on a daily set routine, and qualify the leads on the call by following the proven Stratus method to set physical appointments at the prospect’s office
- Sales Execution: Execute compelling presentations with confidence to the prospects that were qualified by you and also by the 3rd party lead generation agencies for to prepare and deliver proposals within 24 to 48 hours.
- Follow Up, Negotiation and Closing: Follow up with the prospects on the delivered proposals and negotiate if necessary to secure contracts and sign agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Customer visit and push sales: Visit customers along with the Stratus franchisees/service providers to execute the contract and identify the special sales opportunities
- Brand Representation: Represent Stratus Building Solutions at trade shows, networking events, and community engagements.
- Meeting Corporate Goals: Achieving and exceeding metrics (activity, appointments, qualified leads, proposal delivery, closed won etc.) – Meeting the weekly and monthly targets set by the corporate to achieve the sales and the quarterly revenue goals
- Harmonizing Relationships: Build and nurture meaningful relationships with clients, franchisees, and your team as an esteemed ambassador of our brand
Qualifications & Experience
- Applicants must have Commercial B2B sales experience with a proven track record
- Experience in telemarketing or direct sales is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel, make calls and network with prospective customers is necessary
- Strong business development skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g. HubsSpot or similar) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, create strategies, and achieve measurable results.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to close deals effectively.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends if necessary
- A self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of outside sales experience is preferred within the BC province
- Valid Class 5 BC driver's license and a reliable transportation is required
- Proficiency and fluency in English is a must
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of business, marketing, hospitality or similar is preferred
- This is not a hybrid role, physical presence at the office is non negotiable!

This role reports directly to the CEO/Regional Director.
The successful candidate will be compensated with a base salary plus uncapped commissions and quarterly performance bonus, automobile allowances, work laptop, and opportunities to gain North American corporate experience within a supportive international franchise system.
Compensation Range starts from: $48,600-$63,600 per year and beyond (basic + uncapped and unlimited commissions earning opportunity)
