The Operation teams at Shopee covers the operational end-to-end process, from when the buyer searches for a product listed on the Shopee platform, to the moment the buyer receives the products. The team analyses and monitors operational KPIs across the region and conducts root cause analysis when operation performance fluctuates. The Operations team comprises Customer Service, Payment, Listings, Warehouse, Logistics, Seller Operations and Fraud.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated BI Lead to drive the development and optimisation of our business intelligence strategy. The BI Lead will oversee data analysis, reporting, and visualization efforts, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights and influence decision-making.
- Lead and manage a team to effectively achieve outcomes, and build a high-performing and motivated team
- Design, oversee and evaluate critical business metrics to drive business improvements through actionable insights
- Lead digital transformation initiatives and promote a data-driven working culture
- Build data-driven solutions to address business challenges, leveraging multidisciplinary problem-solving approaches
- Drive the creation, maintenance and optimisation of reporting tools and dashboards, and use complex data analysis techniques to identify trends, provide insights, and deliver strategic recommendations to stakeholders
- Communicate insights effectively by translating complex data analysis into clear and compelling narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate their data needs into actionable analytics projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and above
- Minimum 4 years of total work experience, including relevant experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or related roles
- Experience in building and leading teams of at least 5 members, driving collaboration and synergy across different teams
- Daily proficiency in SQL and Python, and familiarity with other data analysis tools (e.g., R, Tableau)
- Work well with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
- Experience in business intelligence in e-commerce is a plus
