About the role
In this role, you will provide high-quality administrative and customer service support within the City Infrastructure Division, handling various transactional and routine financial, purchasing, and administrative activities. You will be accountable for assisting both internal and external stakeholders with exceptional service.
Work type: Temporary Full-time with consideration to Part-time (12 months)
Classification: Band 5 Commencing at $81,005 pa plus super pro rata
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver a range of day-to-day routine financial management activities accurately and effectively within agreed timelines.
- Preparing and processing purchase orders, data collection and basic analysis and responding to and resolving purchasing and payment matters.
- Balance the needs of different key stakeholders to ensure task priorities are met.
- Develop positive relationships with other staff, customers and effectively collaborate with various subject matter experts across the City.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need demonstrated experience in a similar position and a working knowledge or general understanding of financial and purchasing systems, such as Oracle.
Essential Experience:
- Well-developed numeracy, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- People skills to support, influence, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, and proven ability to liaise effectively to obtain cooperation from management, staff at all levels and various stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment as required by the task.
- Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
