Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Cafe Manager with a valid LCQ (License Controller Qualification) certificate to lead and oversee daily operations. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth functioning, uphold compliance with food and beverage regulations, and create a positive work environment for the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the cafe, ensuring efficiency and high service standards.
• Ensure compliance with New Zealand’s alcohol licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and food hygiene standards.
• Lead, train, and motivate the team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Manage stock levels, place orders, and minimize waste.
• Handle staff rostering, scheduling, and payroll processes.
• Resolve customer complaints and ensure positive relationships with patrons.
• Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve financial goals.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the cafe.

Qualifications

• Valid LCQ Certificate and understanding of relevant licensing requirements.
• Proven experience in hospitality management (minimum of X years preferred).
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of barista skills and food service operations (preferred but not required).
• Ability to manage budgets and financial reports.
• Friendly, professional, and adaptable attitude with a customer-first approach.
