Position Title: Field Technician ( Carpenter Helper/Painter)
Role Summary: The field technician position can include (but is not limited to) restoration activities including demolition, cleaning, emergency flood service, restorative drying, fire and smoke damage cleaning and deodorization, content cleaning, pack out and storage and other specialized cleaning both on site and in the warehouse.
Responsibilities:
- Tear out building materials (flooring, drywall, etc.)
- Perform activities including light repairs, demolition and general cleaning as needed
- Ensure work is completed according to measurements, specifications, drawings, plans or other production materials/instructions
- Perform Water / Flood and Contents duties as required
- Participate as directed in the following activities:
o Vehicle safety and maintenance inspections
o Maintaining vehicles in clean serviceable condition
o Constructing polyethylene enclosures
o Removing and disposing of debris
o Maintaining equipment
- Inventory and pack out contents
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours work (i.e. occasional evenings and weekends)
- Will practice good housekeeping at all times to ensure a safe and non-cluttered worksite
- Provide excellent customer service
- Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines
- Ensure attention to detail and keen sense of safeguarding other people’s property and information
Skills/ Competencies Required:
· Construction / Restoration / Insurance experience preferred
· · Comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles and practices
· Ability to work within a team or independently as needed
· Written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
· Basic computer and/or tablet experience
· Willing to work evenings, on call and weekends
· Clean Criminal Record Check
- Hold a valid license and a clean driver’s abstract, as well as access to a vehicle

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 44 per week
