Cash Accountant

The Cash Accountant will manage daily bank reconciliation activities for Genus business units in UK and Europe. This detail-oriented and analytical person will be responsible for comparing internal financial records with bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. This role is critical to maintaining the financial integrity of our operations and ensuring proper cash flow management.

• Perform daily bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts.
• Match and verify transactions between internal accounting records and bank statements.
• Identify and investigate discrepancies or unusual items and follow up for resolution.
• Record bank transactions, fees, interest, and other adjustments in the accounting system.
• Maintain up-to-date records of all reconciliations and ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Liaise with banks and internal departments to resolve issues as needed.
• Monitor cash balances and report any variances or issues to Finance local team
• Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance reconciliation efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare reports and analysis, as needed

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, or related course
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
• Advanced knowledge in MS Excel
• Experience in the use of Microsoft D365, an advantage
• With at least 3 years of solid work experience in Cash/Bank reconciliation under a computerized accounting setup; preferably in a Shared Service organization
