Cashier

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, handle transactions accurately, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. This role requires strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual skills and experience with technology sales or product demos are a plus, helping to enhance customer engagement and sales opportunities.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases
• Operate POS systems accurately for cash, credit, and digital transactions
• Handle cash handling responsibilities with precision and integrity
• Provide product information and conduct product demos when needed
• Upsell additional items to maximize sales opportunities
• Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the checkout area is clean and welcoming
• Assist customers with inquiries, returns, or exchanges using excellent phone etiquette
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimize wait times
• Support inventory management by restocking shelves as necessary
• Ensure compliance with all safety and security procedures

Experience

• Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and giving correct change
• Familiarity with POS systems and retail technology is advantageous
• Experience in customer service, merchandising, or technical sales enhances effectiveness in this role
• Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to multitask efficiently
• Ability to manage time effectively during peak hours and maintain professionalism at all times

Pay: $40.00-$44.00 per hour
