Catering Porter

Spectrum Catering provides premium food/beverage service for corporate, social & special event functions. Our kitchen prepares food products catered throughout the GTA.

We currently have an opportunity for a Porter to assist in food service, set-ups and general labour. The position is Part-time. The schedule is somewhat flexible but day, evening and weekend availability is required.

General Labour Skills:

• Packing for events & loading trucks
• Cleaning of food trucks
• Unloading of trucks and putting away supplies
• Preparing dirty dishes for the dishwasher
• Job site clean up may include sweeping, cleaning, garbage removal, organizing, deliveries etc..

Food Service Skills:

• Food and Beverage Service – Help with event set-ups, buffet service, plated service and roving hors d'oeuvres.
• Customer Service – Address guest needs and ensure an excellent experience.
• Running food from the food truck to the event set-up

Additional Skills:

• Oral communication
• Problem solving, teamwork, decision making, job task planning and organizing
• Significant use of memory

Requirements:

• Valid G licence
• Own Vehicle to get to work (work van will be provide for events)
• Public Transportation is not an option
• Must Speak/Read/Write in fluent English
• Must be comfortable with long hours and Physical labour
