Centre Cook - Woolston

We are looking for a creative cook to join our supportive team, at our lovely centre in Woolston. As Centre Cook you will be responsible for the preparation and cooking of vegetarian meals for up to 88 children each day.

The position:

• Full time, permanent (40 hours, 7:30am to 4:00pm with a 30 min lunch break) Monday to Friday
• NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa is a pre-requisite
• Kindercare police vet all potential employees

As an important member of our team, you will be:

• Competent in preparing, cooking and serving food that follows our recipes
• Committed to the highest standards of cleanliness and health & safety requirements, and adhering to our policies and procedures
• A cheerful multi-tasker, with excellent time-management skills and high energy
• Willing to cover teachers breaks for short periods of time, as well as taking care of cleaning and laundry tasks as required
• A genuine heart for supporting our whānau and our community
• Proficient in verbal and written English

An understanding of children’s nutritional needs and the ability to cater for dietary/allergy requirements is essential for this role, as well as being capable of keeping within budget and ordering supplies.
