Chef De Partie

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION

Provide direction to the Kitchen Helpers, Including Demi Chef de Partie, Commis, and steward in the Assigned Kitchen.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for checking and inspection of all deliveries and to report any discrepancies to immediate supervisor
• Represents the food production on daily base
• Safety training on food handling equipment
• Review the daily product sheets with the Sous Chef
• Ensure proper hygiene as per company and municipality
• Assist in production and maintaining of far stock of meat, vegetables, dry store as determined by the Sous Chef
• Follow the guidance of Sous Chef and have new input in new ways of presentation or dishes
• Put effort in optimizing the cooking process with attention to speed and quality
• Help maintain a climate of smooth and friendly operation
• Any other duties my be assigned from time to time

• Knowledge and ability to run sections
• Ability to work without close supervision
• Team management skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
• Knowledge of best cooking practices

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 1 year as Chef de Partie or minimum of 2 Years as a Demi Chef de Partie in Hotel Set up
• Familiarity with the Spanish Cuisine / Italian Cuisine
