Bradford Camps is nestled deep in the woods of northern Maine. Our historic fishing lodge offers guests an unforgettable wilderness experience—world-class angling, cozy accommodations, and hearty meals. We’re looking for a creative, self-sufficient chef who’s as passionate about great food as they are about the outdoors.
Plan, prepare, and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner for up to 34 people per day. Provide quintessential hospitality to guests and extend a “can do” team player mentality to teammates executed with positive attitude.
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to provide an exceptional dining experience to our guests. You will be responsible for menu planning, food preparation and service, doing dishes and keeping kitchen clean, and maintaining strict quality and sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Menu Planning
- Cost control through efficient utilization, running close to zero waste, and meeting targeted food cost per guest
- Food Preparation & Quality Control
- Inventory: Monitor food stock, assist in ordering
- Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to all federal, state, and local food safety and sanitation regulations, ensuring a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspect all kitchen equipment regularly to ensure functionality and arrange for maintenance or repairs with GM as needed.
- Collaboration: Work with a positive and happy attitude towards all teammates
- Assist other teammates as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 5 years recent, professional cooking experience. At least one year as a Sous, CDC, or Chef
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and remain calm
- Attention to detail in all aspects of food preparation and presentation
Certifications Required:
*ServSafe Manager
