Employment Status: Full Time Shift: Days Equal Employment Opportunity:
- Department: Pharmacy
- Schedule: Days, 7:30am - 4:30pm, 32 hours weekly
- Facility: Prime Healthcare Cancer Care Romeoville
- Location: Romeoville, IL 60446
Sterile compounding experience; hazardous compounding experience strongly preferred.
Experience in hospital or acute care setting preferrred.
The chemotherapy pharmacy technician is trained and proficient in the sterile and non-sterile compounding techniques required for the handling of hazardous drugs. The technician primarily works in the IV room compounding hazardous drug products for hospitals with significant oncology programs.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. High school diploma or equivalent required
2. 1 year of sterile compounding experience required
3. 3 years of related pharmacy experience preferred
4. National Pharmacy Technician Association (NPTA) Chemo Certification or similar required
5. State Pharmacy Technician License and Registration required (if required per state regulations)
6. Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) required or obtained within 6 months of hire date (this requirement may be waived for current pharmacy students enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $23.50 to $34.04. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
