Australian Government Solicitor (AGS) is seeking a skilled and creative Client Systems Support and Web Manager (APS Level6) to ensure AGS’s electronic marketing and business development tools are maintained and supported (websites, client relationship management systems, survey systems, and marketing distribution platforms) to meet business needs and expectations.

About the role
This is a specialist role requiring strong technical expertise to develop innovative solutions to business issues in line with AGS objectives. Working under limited direction, you will undertake work that is complex in nature, set your own priorities, exercise sound judgement and provide accurate specialist advice on Client Systems and Web Management.

The role will include:

  • manage and support AGS client systems and digital platforms, including websites, CRM and survey tools, ensuring content is current, accurate and accessible
  • develop, edit and publish a wide range of materials, including website content, social media, newsletters, publications, presentations and ad hoc communications
  • act as an AGS brand custodian, ensuring all digital and design outputs are high quality, on brand, and compliant with government standards
  • apply contemporary design, web publishing and content management practices, tools and technologies, including the responsible use of AI enabled tools
  • provide high level technical advice and act as a first point of contact for system and user support issues, resolving matters in a timely and effective way
  • collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to deliver high quality outcomes in a fast paced environment
  • identify opportunities to improve, streamline and automate systems and processes, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
  • organise and maintain design assets, templates and master files to ensure consistency, accessibility and effective knowledge sharing
  • ensure digital content and platforms meet accessibility requirements and align with current government and industry best practice.
The position is located within the AGS Client Services team and can be based in Canberra, Sydney or Melbourne. The successful candidate must have a tertiary qualification in computing or information technology-related areas, a high attention to detail, excellent project management skills and communication skills.

About you

We are looking for someone with:
  • relevant tertiary qualifications (or equivalent) in computing or information technology-related areas or equivalent experience (highly desirable)
  • demonstrated experience (generally between 2 - 6 years) in a professional services firm or government agency, primarily in marketing, communication, IT and working with senior and executive staff
  • knowledge of GovCMS, Drupal, Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Web Suite, InterAction and Qualtrics an advantage (highly desirable)
  • the ability to work under limited direction, handle complex tasks and exercise judgement when advising on brand and Client Systems Support and Web matters
  • strong project management skills, including the ability to set priorities and manage competing deadlines
  • excellent attention to detail, creativity and a proactive, solutions focused mindset
  • strong stakeholder engagement skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues across diverse work areas.
