Cnc Tube Bender/Cell Operator

Position Purpose

This position performs manufacturing duties with expertise in all stages of tube bending operations, to include set up and operating CNC bending machines, dedicated manual benders, and hand bending, to produce precision parts according to Goodridge blueprints and standards. This position may also perform assembly, warehouse, shipping, receiving duties as assigned.

Responsibilities / Duties / Functions / Tasks

• Set up and operate CNC tube benders machines.
• Produce parts in compliance with Goodridge work instructions, drawings, and bill of materials router.
• Check work quality using Coordinate Measuring equipment, fixtures, and gages as required.
• Follows Goodridge procedures and process instructions in accordance with ISO9001 program.
• Maintains the area’s fixtures, tooling and gages in clean and orderly condition.
• Performs operator defined equipment Preventative Maintenance.
• Assist and work with Engineers to develop new parts machine programs and produce prototypes.
• Performs other work as required by the area Supervisor or Site Manger.
• Performs works safely and follows all Company procedures.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition in accordance with company Safety & 5S programs.

Qualifications (Education | Certification | Experience)

• Knowledge of CNC bending software
• 3 years’ experience operating CNC tube bending machines.
• 2+ years’ experience with programming and set up of CNC tube bending machines
• 2+ years’ experience with setting-up, developing and manufacturing tube assemblies from start to finish
• Capable of using precision tools to accurately measure tight tolerances (CMM, calipers, height gauge, scales, etc.)
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Ability to communicate with management and other personnel to report malfunctions, resolving issues and ensuring smooth production flow.
• High School diploma or equivalent
