Commercial Analyst Sales

Te Tūranga | About the role:

The Commercial Analyst works across Silver Fern Farms’ Sales and Marketing teams to provide meaningful financial and business insights that deliver value and inform decision making. The core deliverable of this role is to perform analysis that enables increased profitability of Silver Fern Farms.

To do this, you’ll work closely with the Commercial Manager Sales, and a team of Senior Commercial Analysts to prepare and interpret reports, forecasts and budgets, to provide insights, commentary, reporting and value analysis back into the business.

Key impact areas of this role include:

• Delivering commercial reporting, analysis, and decision support
• Working closely with the Sales and Marketing group to identify and prioritise business opportunities
• Providing strategic planning, business planning and option analysis/modelling
• Identifying, and being an advocate for, commercially sensible opportunities across several value streams

Ōu Pūkenga | About You:

You’re a growing commercial, business, or finance professional with experience working in an analyst role. Ideally your experience is within the private sector, and has exposed you to export, international sales, and global business.

You’re a positive team player who enjoys working to deliver value and demonstrates the ability to be adaptable through change. Additionally, you’re able to challenge ideas and influence decisions of others by using technology to develop and present complex models and ideas.

You will bring:

• At least 2 years’ experience in a relevant commercial role, or similar experience in a finance or business orientated role
• Some experience in understanding complex international markets is beneficial – particularly North America
• Excellent relationship management skills; actively applies a customer service approach to key relationships throughout the business
• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
• A Commerce, Business or Finance qualification is preferred, but is not necessary for candidates who can showcase exceptional experience and drive.
