Dallas-Fort Worth Commercial Plumbing Operations Manager
Lawton Commercial Services, an established commercial plumbing company serving the Dallas-Fort Worth area, is seeking a leader responsible for partnering with the team to drive company-wide objectives through coaching, one-on-one ride-alongs, on-site training, and customer service support as needed. This role is crucial in maintaining the quality and efficiency of commercial plumbing services.
Job description:
As a Commercial Plumbing Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing teams of plumbers, coordinating plumbing installations and repairs, ensuring compliance with plumbing codes and standards, and managing project timelines and budgets. You will manage and mentor plumbing staff, allocate resources, and maintain quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead, supervise, and train a team of plumbers and apprentices.
  • Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor progress to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and technical support to plumbing staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and handle disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Plan and schedule plumbing projects, including new installations, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Coordinate with contractors, clients, and other trades to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Estimate material and labor costs, prepare budgets, and track expenditures.
  • Monitor project timelines and adjust schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure plumbing installations and repairs comply with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks on completed work.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and practices on job sites.
  • Troubleshoot complex plumbing issues and provide technical guidance to resolve problems.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Recommend improvements in plumbing systems and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Address customer concerns and inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through quality workmanship and service.
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Minimum of seven (7) years in a supervisory role.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years verifiable plumbing experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and tools.
  • Strong leadership, project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Service Titan experience preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid Texas Responsible Master Plumber License.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Proficiency in computer applications related to project management and scheduling.
  • Working knowledge of state regulations (codes) affecting plumbing work.
