We are hiring a Commissioning Manager Engineering to join our team in Rotterdam for our Business Unit Grid Integration. Hitachi Energy is looking for a dynamic and motivated Commissioning Manager Engineer to join our team. This is a hybrid role, where you can work both from your home-office, site location and our office in Rotterdam.

Your responsibilities:

  • Technical Contribution: Being the link between engineering and commissioning activities. Coordinates installation activities and implements design changes.
  • Sales Support: Assists in creating engineering project proposals.
  • Contract Management: Supports issuing claims related to new work scope, cost, and time impacts.
  • Planning and Control: Creates work plans and cost estimates.
  • Risk and Opportunity Management: Supports risk assessments and reports potential risks.
  • Customers: Coordinates site activities for customer acceptance and provides relevant information.
  • Supply Chain Management: Manages external organizations for commissioning equipment and services.
  • Technology Leadership and Knowledge Sharing: Shares information and lessons learned.
  • Processes and Tools: Ensures compliance with safety regulations and improves processes.
  • People Leadership and Development: Guides and coordinates work between all stakeholder Engineering, Site Team & Customer.

Your background:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • About 5 years of experience in power systems engineering, in utility/industrial High & Medium Voltage substations.
  • Proactive, result-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills as well as reliability and ability to work under pressure.
  • Skilled communicator who can interface with numerous external and internal parties and stakeholders at all levels in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Knowledge of engineering techniques, processes and tools, including knowledge in BIM.
  • Strong commitment to safe work practices and a high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new technologies.
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English is mandatory.
