I. Introduction/Background:
Ipas is an international non-governmental organization (INGO) which works to assist the Government of Pakistan in achieving the country’s commitment towards the Sustainable Development Goal 3 (good health and wellbeing). Founded in 1973, Ipas is a pioneering global organization that developed the manual vacuum aspirator technology for safe uterine evacuation, which is endorsed by the World Health Organization and by various countries including Pakistan. In Pakistan, Ipas seeks to support the government and development partners’ efforts to reduce maternal mortality and morbidity associated with complications due to unsafe practices. It collaborates with provincial governments to provide technical assistance and support for strengthening the public and private healthcare system.

IV. Scope of Work:
We are looking for a communications intern who will assist in promoting our organization's efforts to effectively communicate our mission, and program goals to internal and external stakeholders.
V. Technical Requirements:
- Recent graduate or pursuing a degree in communications, public relations, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with social media platforms (e.g. LinkedIn).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Passion for social justice, advocacy, and making a positive impact in the community.

VI. Reporting: Policy & Communications Advisor
VII. Key Responsibilities:
a) Content Creation :
Assist supervisor in drafting engaging content for various communication channels, including newsletters, project briefs and blog articles.
Coordinate with team members to develop multimedia content such as graphics, videos, and infographics to support communication efforts.
b) Event Management :
Assist in the planning and execution of activities, including meetings, visits, workshops and conferences.
Coordinate logistics, prepare materials, and provide on-site support as needed.
C) Stakeholder Engagement:
Maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including private and public sector.
Assist in developing communication materials tailored to different stakeholder groups to effectively convey organization's message and impact.
D) Administrative Support:
Provide general administrative support to the Policy and Communications unit, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, inter-departmental coordination and maintaining files and databases.
Assist supervisor in tracking expenses and budgets related to Policy and Communications unit.
