We are seeking a dynamic Communications Specialist to join our Marketing team and help shape the voice of our organization.
Role Overview
As a Communications Specialist, you will work collaboratively to develop and execute internal and external communication documents, strategies, and promotional materials. You will ensure consistent messaging across all channels, create engaging content, maintain MIC’s brand voice, and support review and reputation management efforts in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and edit communications for key stakeholders, including patients, practitioners, MIC radiologists and various teams across the organization.
- Handle public relations tasks, including writing press releases and preparing key speaking notes for public appearances or media projects.
- Create compelling copy that considers the intended audience and platform to support marketing objectives; this includes writing blog posts, articles, newsletters, emails, print materials, brochures, and intranet updates.
- Support review and reputation management by working with various teams to draft responses and address stakeholder concerns through platforms like Google, Survey Monkey, etc.
- Track and report on communication metrics (NPS, Avg GmB score, brand affinity).
- Support crisis communication efforts to preserve brand reputation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, HR, Leadership, etc.
- Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or related field.
- Experience: 2–5 years; healthcare experience is an asset.

- Exceptional writing and editing skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and project management skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask with tight deadlines.
- Proficiency with Windows PC and MS Office.
