Your Role
We are a start-up that is scaling fast. Therefore, we are not hiring for someone to do repetitive work. We are hiring resilient and multi-faceted problem solvers. To thrive at VI, you will need a ‘growth mindset’ where you embrace the challenge of figuring something out.
This role will start as a 3-month full-time contract role. Depending on performance, there is potential for you to become a permanent Company Success Executive, with growth opportunities with our Career Pathway structure, or transition within the Host Company division.
What will the Company Success Executive be trying to solve?
Working in a team of high-performing Success Executives & Managers, you will be involved in managing and training host companies to deliver successful remote internships. Responsibilities will include:
Host Company engagement and relationship management focused on retention and quality
Advising host company with best practices on remote working and managing remote interns
Pre-internship preparation, including orientation calls, data and form collection, first week check-ins
Regular weekly & bi-weekly check-ins
Issue management & resolution with various internal and external stakeholders
Post-internship evaluation collection
What type of companies and participants will I work with?
You will be assigned to companies within your timezone coverage within various industries. This will enable you to gain a unique insight into various sector trends around the world, for example you may develop an understanding of the FinTech boom in Singapore, HealthTech growth in Australia, or Supply Chain re-emergence in China.
We work with companies in 70+ countries, so in the morning you might be speaking with an Australian company, around lunchtime you might be speaking with a Chinese company, and then towards the end of your day you might be speaking with a British company.
Internship participants are students or undergraduates from universities across the globe (North America, Europe, Africa, Australasia and other locations).
What does success look like in 3 months’ time?
100% collection rate of Supervisor Evaluation forms monthly
Target alignment with internal quality metrics
Positive feedback scores from the host companies & internship participants
High satisfaction level from the companies (NPS)
What Do We Offer?
One of our core values at Virtual Internships is transparency. That’s why, we’re giving you the opportunity to ‘try before you apply’ in our “VI-P Guide” which includes our values, how we operate, how we build our packages, and how we interview.
To give you an example of some of our perks and benefits:
Flexible working hours - Start earlier, leave earlier, take a shorter lunch or leave a bit later, it's totally up to you.
Remote first - work from anywhere, with a budget to support your remote setup
Learn from the world’s best - access to exclusive content including how-to guides and playbooks from Sequoia/500Global backed organizations
Swag - delivered to your door
Birthday leave - go enjoy yourself on your birthday without needing to use your annual leave
Impact - we’re still at an early-stage, so your impact is magnified. You will likely be solving something that hasn’t already been solved or you will be taking something to an entirely new level !
Meritocracy - a culture that prides itself on internal promotions and meritocracy. The majority of our managerial team have risen up (quickly), including our COO, CAO, CFO, Head of Host Company Experience, and Head of Intern Experience
TLDR Version? You love (and excel at) building relationships and supporting people, and want to be part of our mission.
As for the long version, you should have:
At least 6+ months of B2B account management / customer success operations OR relevant experience
Fluency in English (you don’t need an IELTS, but if you did it would be 7.0+)
Eagerness to work in a fast-paced high-growth startup
Ability to work with targets and KPIs. You’ll be comfortable providing regular progress reports to the Head of Host Companies
Persistent. At Virtual Internships, we “always find a way”
Passionate about Education and Career Development for the young generation
Previous experience in recruitment, student enrolment or working on an internship programme would be a bonus
You stand out from the crowd if:
You have worked within the EdTech sector
You have worked at a remote-first organization
Consider this our wish-list. We know there will be great candidates that don't meet every one of these criteria—if you're passionate about the role and have early-stage startup experience, we'd still love to hear from you.
