Construction Manager - Sligo

Beldare Homes are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Project Manager to oversee high-value residential developments in the Sligo region. This role requires a professional capable of navigating the complexities of modern project lifecycles, from initial procurement and site setup to final certification and handover.

The successful candidate will lead multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with the latest health and safety regulations and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership and Planning: Develop comprehensive project execution plans, defining scopes, milestones, and resource requirements. You will be responsible for the "critical path" to ensure timely delivery.
  • Oversee all project management and construction management tasks of building works on site.
  • Financial Management: Manage project budgets, this includes cost control, value engineering, and overseeing the procurement of subcontractors and materials.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all works adhere to the Building Control (Amendment) Regulations (BCAR). You will act as a primary point of contact for Assigned Certifiers and local authorities.
  • Stakeholder Management: Maintain proactive communication with construction teams, architects, structural engineers, and local Sligo stakeholders.
  • Health & Safety: Uphold the highest standards of site safety, ensuring full compliance with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is essential.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of delivering projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software e.g., MS Project, Excel, Outlook etc.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution capabilities.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: €60,000 – €85,000 per annum, commensurate with experience (DOE).
  • Package: An additional comprehensive package will be discussed on an individual basis, which may include performance bonuses, vehicle allowance, and pension contributions.
  • Location: Based in Sligo.
