Full Job Description

The Contractor Consultants is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Construction Permitting and Project Coordinator to handle a variety of tasks related to construction permitting and project coordination. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the permitting process, coordinating between departments, and maintaining smooth communication with municipal authorities. This position involves clerical duties, client interaction, and outstanding customer service to ensure timely project delivery.

The Contractor Consultants specializes in building adorable backyard homes, known as Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs), off-site and delivering them straight to customers' backyards. With a focus on optimizing space and using top-quality building materials, ADORE Homes provides turn-key service, from design to tenant selection. These ADUs serve multiple purposes, from additional housing for family members to income-earning rental units, while ensuring a high level of craftsmanship, comfort, and design that meets the lifestyle needs of their clients.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Send and manage permit applications for construction projects.
  • Assist in coordinating between internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Follow up with municipalities and gather paperwork for submittals and applications.
  • Handle scheduling of road closures for deliveries and communicate with project managers, clients, and manufacturers.
  • Perform a variety of paraprofessional, technical, and clerical tasks to support the permitting process.
  • Track, review, and manage the progress of various permits to ensure timely processing.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and offering guidance on the permit application process.
  • Train to review development permit applications and related documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Calculate and document fees associated with project permits.
  • Perform clerical functions, manage electronic permit files, and maintain development review files.
  • Update electronic records and ensure compliance with records management practices.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Experience in construction permitting is a must.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and provide outstanding customer service.
  • Proficiency in using software for permit tracking and document management.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
