Consultant/Research Associate

Be part of a vibrant, purpose-driven team helping to serve our Institutional clients. Ideal candidates will be highly motivated, technically oriented, flexible and with a keen attention to detail who are interested in gaining exposure to capital markets and the portfolio construction process. The Consultant/Research Associate has client-facing responsibilities and travel to client meetings-mostly in-person is required. Travel is expected to be approximately two weeks every quarter.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist consultants in preparation of client materials
  • Attend client meetings in-person or remotely, at clients’ request
  • Update clients’ Investment Policy Statements
  • Respond to client requests
  • Work on special projects
  • Attend Alan Biller and Associates meetings (remotely): Investment Committee, Portfolio Review, Research and Consulting

The Ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; preferably in Finance
  • Desire to pursue a CFA and CAIA (or in-process)
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience
  • Sound understanding of economic and investment theory and practices
  • Solid quantitative and analytical skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Excel, Morningstar, Bloomberg and eVestment
  • A self-starter with strong organizational skills, problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • High comfort level with working independently and meeting tight deadlines
  • Familiarity with investment consulting

Benefits

We offer a full complement of benefits, including a 401(k), and a “take what you need” time off policy.

We expect the base salary for this position to be in the $90,000 to $110,000 range, plus bonus. In determining the base salary, relevant and number of years’ experience are considered.
