As Corporate Legal Counsel, you will be part of a small, dynamic legal team. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of legal tasks with a strong emphasis on M&A, integration processes, contracts, claims, and corporate matters. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to support Kiwa’s strategic and operational goals
Do you have what it takes?:
Key Responsibilities:
  • M&A Focus: Lead legal aspects of M&A transactions and integrations.
  • Legal Advisory: Provide expert legal advice. Serve as a trusted advisor to management and business leaders across disciplines.
  • Contract and Corporate Matters: Draft, review and manage a variety of contracts and legal documents. Oversee corporate governance and corporate housekeeping tasks and address claims management.
  • Strategic Insight: Demonstrate a deep understanding of balancing commercial objectives with legal risk management to support Kiwa’s ambitious growth plans.
  • Collaboration and Ethics: Work effectively with teams across the organization, upholding Kiwa’s core values of being Ambitious, Reliable, and Engaged.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Education: Master’s degree in Law.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in an international environment or leading law firm, with a focus on M&A.
  • Skills: Pragmatic, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively at all organizational levels. Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch and other languages is an advantage.
  • Attributes: Solution-oriented, proactive, and able to take ownership of projects. Capable of operating under pressure with a flexible, adaptable attitude.
  • Work Requirements: Must be based in the Netherlands with a valid work permit and be willing to travel internationally as needed.

Where are you going to work?
In this role, you’ll work within Kiwa’s Corporate Legal department, with our Rijswijk (The Netherlands) office as your location. The team is small and is characterized by an informal atmosphere. You will report to the Corporate Legal Director.
