This position within the Corporate & Group Collaboration partners closely with the Front Office stakeholders, Relationship Managers and OCBC Group to identify corporate opportunities and to drive new initiatives jointly with OCBC Group. This individual will also be the main point of contact for any One Group Collaboration initiatives involving business, alignment of intergroup policies & processes, performance monitoring & reporting, and relevant compliance matters between BOS and OCBC Group.
Corporate Advisory
- Provide targeted corporate recommendations to all BOS Group Clients including
- Meeting of Key/SFO Clients in Singapore or domiciled countries to present & articulate capabilities of OCBC Group
- Advisory to BOS RMs/Clients on possibilities of supporting the Clients’ corporate requirements in OCBC Group’s core markets excluding capital markets products
- Advisory on potential credit structures and/or financing solutions, including ESG related but excluding investment products and foreign exchange trading
- Early identification of potential corporate cross-sell at Onboarding stage
- By way of joint visits with BOS RMs
- Assessment of newly approved Onboarding Memos
- Taking lead on referring corporate opportunities to relevant Business Units in OCBC Group for discussion
- Pre-clearance of all BOS referrals to OCBC Group with credit requirement, including real estate deals but excluding investment products transactions and / or forex trading
- Provide resolutions and alternatives with key OCBC Group stakeholders
- Ensure close follow-ups and closure of referred deals to OCBC Group
- Escalation of challenges to Senior Management of BOS/OCBC Group
- Attend to reverse enquiries from OCBC Group for opportunities with BOS
Group Collaboration
Business
- Lead joint initiatives to drive for growth
- Organise joint campaigns to target different segments of BOS/OCBC Group customers’ needs
- Use of Data to identify corporates & individuals’ opportunities that are within OCBC Group’s target market and risk appetite
- Leverage on joint marketing events with OCBC Group to drive new Private Banking deals and build BOS Clients’ awareness of OCBC Group’s capabilities
- These initiatives and referral to OCBC strictly cover only financing needs of the client and does not involve any advisory or dealing with clients involving investment products and forex trading
Process
- Provide one-stop engagement platform with OCBC Group covering:
- Responsible for maintenance and review of all referral frameworks and Agreements with OCBC Group
- Ensure transactional/compliance related support to BOS RMs/Units when dealing with OCBC Group
- Segment C servicing framework
- BOS Clients’ corporate accounts servicing matter, including with GM and GTB of OCBC Group
- BOS onboarding of NTB and exit impact to existing BOS Clients from STRs initiated by OCBC Group
- Lead process/policy alignment exercises with OCBC Group involving Client engagement matters
- Performance monitoring & tracking of all referrals/events outcome/initiatives work between BOS/OCBC Group
- Activities do not include any advisory or dealing with clients relating to investment products and/or forex trading
- >10 years of corporate/commercial banking experience as relationship manager in OCBC
- Solid understanding and knowledge of credit and the local/regional corporate market
- Experience in dealing with both local and regional corporate clients especially from OCBC’s core markets
- Able to operate independently and flexibility to travel on a regular basis
- Strong understanding of the bank’s products, services and credit policies
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with good command of English and ideally a second language in Chinese/Bahasa Indonesia.
- Proven track record in growing client relationships, including corporate banking, private banking, IAMs and family offices.
- Ability to bring new relationships to the bank through diverse network and contacts.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaborative skills
- Proactive and is a self-starter
