We are inviting applications for a Cost Manager to join our Head Office growing team. We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual who demonstrate strong organizational/managerial skills and a pro-active attitude. Good reporting and communication skills, the ability to work in a team environment and computer literacy are essential

A snapshot of your peer group:

• Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management
• Understanding a variety of project types/sizes/sectors. Healthcare, Education, Commercial, Residential
• Understanding of RIAI and GCCC standard forms of contract
• Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on procurement, cost, value and risk, not just cost in isolation
• Excellent numeracy, verbal and written communication skills

Your responsibilities and achievements will evolve as you enhance your career with us. Here is what you can initially expect:

• Assisting on feasibility studies and writing procurement reports
• Estimating and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan
• Produce full quantities measure
• Estimating and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan
• Tendering and procuring, including managing the pre-qualification stage
• Dealing effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processes
• Taking personal responsibility for making cost checks and carrying out valuations on larger projects and in all cases ensuring that timely and accurate cost checking and valuation takes place
• Producing monthly post contract cost reports and presenting them to the client
• Inputting into value engineering
• Negotiating and agreeing final accounts
• Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages
