This is a regulated, client‑facing role in which you’ll help deliver best‑in‑class credit solutions to institutional clients while working closely with our trading, syndicate, research and structuring teams.

You’ll gain exposure to a broad range of credit products across investment grade and high yield, and play a meaningful role in distributing market insights, generating trade ideas, and supporting client engagement across the region.

This role gives you a strong platform to build your network across the bank and grow your market expertise while contributing to revenue generation and client satisfaction.

What you’ll do

  • Exchanging market information with institutional clients, providing relevant insights and actionable trade ideas.
  • Executing fixed income trades and collaborating closely with the trading desk on opportunities across investment grade and high yield markets.
  • Analysing relative value and helping distribute trading desk risk effectively to clients.
  • Working with research, syndicate and structuring teams to support seamless execution and a client‑centric experience.
  • Supporting corporate and institutional clients in financing activities via capital market products.
  • Maintaining high standards of conduct, risk awareness and appropriate controls aligned with our Purpose, Values, and the NatWest Markets risk framework.

The skills you’ll need

  • An understanding of Asian and global credit markets, including investment‑grade and high‑yield, knowledge of flow credit, syndicated loan, structured credit and rates, MTN and private credit market would be helpful.
  • Experience in fixed income products as well as good knowledge of financial markets and the macro-economic environment.
  • The ability to identify and monetise new business opportunities, with sound commercial judgement.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across global teams.
  • A good understanding of client investment constraints, such as duration, credit rating, spreads and yield targets.
  • The ability to multitask in a fast‑moving market environment.
  • Strong risk awareness and the ability to escalate issues promptly in line with our risk and conduct expectations.
  • Language Preferences: Professional proficiency in Mandarin and fluent English are beneficial for supporting regional client coverage across APAC, but not required.

You’ll also be

  • Acting in line with the NatWest Code, Purpose, Values and Conduct Rules.
  • Operating as a First Line of Defence role with responsible risk‑taking.
  • Supporting continuous improvement and contributing to disciplined cost management.
