Minara Resources has an opportunity for a skilled crushing plant operator/maintainer to join our team located at our Murrin Murrin Operations.

The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Operator/Maintainer to join our team in our calcrete crushing area at Murrin Murrin. This position specialises in the maintenance and operation duties of the 4-stage crushing and screening plant, to ensure the availability of the crusher and other associated equipment.

Working in a crew on a rotating shift roster, you will be responsible for performing planned maintenance, reactive breakdown maintenance and shutdown work across the calcrete crushing area.
You will be responsible for:
  • Regular inspections and planned maintenance of the calcrete crushing & screening plant and associated conveyors
  • The safe operation of the primary, secondary and tertiary crushers and associated screens and conveyors
  • The safe operation of equipment such as Bobcats and skid steers to assist with the clean-up of any spillage from the conveyors
  • Operating fixed plant crushing equipment
  • Operating a CAT 988 loader, 20-ton excavator and skid-steer
  • Monitoring and management of systems in milling operations of Calcrete production and consumption
  • Monitoring and management of ROM operations, Calcrete stockpile, traffic management and ROM demarcation and exclusion zones

About You
As a minimum, you will have a Trade Qualification in Mechanical Fitting or similar discipline, coupled with fixed plant mechanical maintenance experience. It would be highly advantageous if you have previous working experience with jaw crushers, roll crushers/sizers, cone crushers and vertical shaft impact crushers.
You will also have:
  • Good problem-solving skill
  • Good knowledge and troubleshooting skills of hydraulic systems
  • Be able to work as autonomously or part of a group (day to day work tasks & group work with Vendor company for planned shutdowns)
  • Planning / prep work for upcoming shutdowns
  • Excavator ticket (advantageous)
  • Current Front End Loader ticket
  • Current Skid Steer ticket
  • Current Forklift ticket
  • Dogging & Riggers HRLW ticket (advantageous)
  • Demonstrated crushing plant experience
  • Confined space, working at heights or hazardous area training (advantageous)
  • Understanding of production and maintenance strategies for continuous operating plants
  • Understanding of Workplace Health & Safety & Environmental procedures, legislation policies and management systems
  • Good Computer skills
  • WA Manual Driver’s Licence
