CARTERS Hamilton is looking for a Customer Service Representative / Hiab Driver to join their busy Yard team.

This role will predominately be in the yard however you will also need to fill in when needed doing deliveries, safely loading orders and operating a Hiab to off load product on site while navigating often challenging accessways.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and pride themselves on exceptional service and delivery to our customers in a timely, professional, and safe manner. With your high energy and can-do attitude, you can expect to:

• Driving a Class 2 and Hiab truck

• Load and unload building materials either with a forklift or manual handling

• Carry out customer deliveries efficiently and on time and in accordance with health and safety regulations.

• Pick and assemble customer orders.

• Process sales documentation

• Provide exceptional customer service to all customers on and off site.

About you
The ideal candidate will have a commitment to outstanding customer service and support and have the following skills and qualities:

• Full NZ Drivers licence with minimum Class 2, ideally Class 4/Class 5
• Hiab operating experience is desirable, however training can be provided for the right person
• Forklift licence is required with F endorsement desirable
• Building industry experience preferred
• A team player with the right attitude.
• A real people person with a natural talent for building trust and rapport with our customers
• Basic computer skills
• Proven awareness of health and safety legislation in this industry.
• Physically fit for the occasional heavy lifting and manual handling
