The District Classified application and supplemental form must be submitted to the Personnel Commission Office by the filing deadline.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:
This is a PROMOTIONAL ONLY recruitment to establish an eligibility list, fill a vacancy and hire substitutes. Substitutes work on an as-needed basis to fill in for absent employees. The eligibility list will be used to fill permanent vacancies which may occur during the life of the eligibility list. Promotional examinations shall be restricted to probationary and permanent employees of the District who meet the qualifications of the class.

The current vacancies are full-time, 12 months per year, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM.

The recruitment process will consist of a written and/or performance examination and an oral technical interview, which are tentatively scheduled during the weeks of March 18-27, 2026. Qualified applicants will be notified by US mail or email.

Basic Function

Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, train custodial staff on appropriate cleaning methods, procedures and practices; observe Custodians and determine needs for training; develop and conduct appropriate training as needed, either individually or in groups: review and test new and existing equipment and supplies and makes recommendations for replacements.

Education & Experience

Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and two years of experience performing custodial services. Experience in a public school district is desirable.

Licenses and Other Requirements

Some positions may require the use of a personal automobile and possession of a valid California Class C driver's license.
