About the Role:
MPK is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to join our Information, Systems and Technology (IS&T) Team based out of the Brisbane Support Office. Reporting to the Group Manager - IS&T.

Main Duties include:

• Cyber Security Leadership and Management

Developing and overseeing the organisation’s cyber security program and ensuring compliance with cyber security policies, standards, regulations, legislation and contractual requirements.
Working through a team of technical SMEs to ensure the security of company networks, systems, and data.
Monitoring security systems, conducting risk assessments, and identifying vulnerabilities and security risks.
Overseeing incident detection and response processes, ensuring timely investigation and resolution of security breaches.
Collaborating with IT, legal, and business teams to integrate security measures into operational processes.
Conducting data security training and awareness programs to promote a security-first culture across the organisation.
Developing and testing business continuity and disaster recovery plans.

Skills and Experiences:
About You:
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, experience & knowledge/skills:

Tertiary qualification in cyber security, information technology or related field.
Hold at least one industry certification of CISSP, CISM, CRISC
Minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience in management or leading teams.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in cyber security or other related technical fields, such as systems and networks.
Experience with Trend Micro and Mimecast products desirable but not essential

• Strong knowledge of information security principles, risk management, and incident response.

Strong understanding of information security best practices and frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST CSF 2.0, Essential 8, ISM).
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
