Data Science Intern

What's the role?:
SLAM techniques, popular in robotics applications, can also be applied to great effect in map-building applications. SLAM uses mathematically rigorous methods to fuse data sources of differing quality and accuracy by utilizing uncertainty as a first-class attribute of observable data to produce geometrically optimal estimates for observable locations.

Who are you?:
Interns will utilize state-of-the-art SLAM libraries to apply these solutions to map-making and data fusion which can appropriately ingest location data and express quality statistically. Technical duties include algorithm derivation, implementation and testing using real data to build support for SLAM solutions that estimate optimal positions, map quality indicators, and combined attribution.

Skills needed: Python or C++
Preferred skills: git, GTSAM, g2o
