Deli Assistant Full Time

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality deli products. You will play a key role in ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met, as well as contributing to a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the deli area, adhering to food safety regulations.
• Assist customers with their selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations and upselling products when appropriate.
• Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while following all health and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the deli department.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of any shortages.

Experience

• Previous experience in a culinary or food preparation role is preferred but not essential.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is highly advantageous.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• A passion for customer service and the ability to engage positively with customers.
