About us

Sunset Wholesale West is a large family-owned distribution company that provides more than 10K products to smaller family retail stores. Unlike larger corporations, we don't treat our people like a number. We work hard to take care of our customers as well as each other. The owners and senior management will know your name and take care of you as one of our own.

We are looking for a reliable Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for picking up and delivering packages to customers in a timely and safe manner as well as correctly assessing and collecting payments. The ideal candidate must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, be able to follow directions/perform basic math functions and have excellent customer service skills. The Delivery Driver must also be able to lift heavy packages (50 lbs.) and be comfortable driving in all weather conditions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Loads vehicle for delivery.
  • Performs simple vehicle maintenance, cleaning the interior of vehicle, checking lights, checking tires, filling fluids, scheduling routine maintenance to keep vehicle running properly.
  • Observes all traffic laws and posted speed limits.
  • Delivering goods to clients.
  • Interact with the customer in a professional manner.
  • Collects required signatures for payment, proof of delivery, and gives receipt to customers.
  • Returns all required documentation to appropriate company official.
  • Observes no smoking in delivery vehicle.
  • Maintains a neat, clean personal appearance.
  • Must get all pertinent information if involved in an accident and inform appropriate company official.
  • Unloads vehicle after completing delivery runs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Three years related experience or equivalent.

· Familiarity with delivery practices and handling methods.

· Must have a valid driver's license

· Ability to work with minimal supervision.

· Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

· Strong interpersonal skills.

· Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
